5ff9 McCarthy Pest And Termite Control — Termites And Moles

Termite Elimination/Pre-Construction Preventative Treatment

  • An Authorized Operator for the Sentricon® Termite Colony Elimination System, McCarthy Pest & Termite Control was selected on the basis of rigorous background, performance, integrity and reputation checks.
  • Unobtrusive, early-warning monitoring stations are positioned around the building perimeter and won't interfere with your landscape.
  • Tops can even be painted to blend in with surrounding landscape.
  • Tests show, our irresistible termite bait (Recruit IV containing Noviflumuron) eliminates entire colonies in days rather than months. It is ecologically friendly and used in such minute doses that it is an excellent choice for childcare centers, nursing homes, hospitals, schools, etc.
  • Just a few grams are used — only when needed — with no risk of spilling, leakage or contamination. Contrast it to the hundreds of gallons of poison from liquid treatments. (So, why allow the liquid poison risk in your environment?)
  • No unsightly/messy drilling, injection or trenching required.
  • Sentricon received EPA's"Presidential Green Chemistry Award".
  • McCarthy also offers pre-construction termite preventative treatments.

Moles

Carnivorous (only eating animal life) Moles absolutely refuse legendary remedies such as poison peanuts and gum. One can tunnel up to 100 feet per day, leaving long "runs" and large mounds of uprooted lawn. Similar to a fish in a pond, its location is very difficult to pinpoint.

To deal with them, we use a combination of several trap systems and underground bait. This bait mimics earthworms that make up 90 percent of a mole's diet. Since the bait is placed underground where moles live, this baiting system is both effective and safe.

Voles

Often misidentified as a mole, but often using their runs, voles are herbivores (only eating plant life). Commonly destroying ornamental plants by eating their roots, effective elimination must be pursued in a very different manner.
